Our laboratory develops and studies fiber lasers across three main wavelength regimes:
- Ytterbium (Yb) at ~1.03-1.08 μm
- Erbium (Er) at ~1.52-1.58 μm
- Thulium (Tm) at ~1.9-2 μm
We design and implement systems ranging from continuous-wave to pulsed operation, and from single-wavelength to tunable configurations. We also develop Master Oscillator Power Amplifier (MOPA) architectures.
Our in-house fiber laser systems are frequently used for material processing applications and nonlinear wavelength conversion experiments.
This research is ongoing and externally funded.
